Wozair has been awarded the Cyber Essentials Certificate of Assurance by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective, government backed scheme that helps protect organisations against a wide range of the most common cyber attacks.
The UK government introduced the scheme in 2014 following the discovery that more than 80% of cyber attacks on UK businesses could have been prevented by implementing basic security controls.
The vast majority of attacks are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked. The advice provided is designed to prevent these attacks.
The assessment involved an online questionnaire capturing information that supported that all five necessary controls were in place – Firewall Security, Secure Configuration, User Access Control, Malware Protection and Patch Management.
The certification reassures clients that Wozair are actively working to secure their IT against cyber attacks and could attract new business with the promise of security measures in place. Cyber Essentials can also be a necessity when bidding for central government contracts handling sensitive information.
