Wozair was delighted to welcome local MP Rehman Chishti to its UK head office and factory in Gillingham on Friday 3rd December.
The Conservative MP for Gillingham and Rainham took the chance to learn about the specialist HVAC equipment manufactured by Wozair and how it has continued to support essential energy projects all over the world throughout the pandemic.
Rehman Chishti addressed the staff personally to thank them for their continued work during these difficult times.
“Its people like you that work hard, who make this town great with their jobs supporting the economy in the local area. It takes a team to get things going and for me personally, growing up in Gillingham and attending local schools, when I’m in parliament I look at businesses like you, what all of you do, to make our town strong and our economy go from one step to the other.”
Since the start of 2020, Wozair has manufactured dampers and air intakes for offshore wind farms and substations, HVAC packages for oil and gas platforms, intakes for LNG plants and air handling units and dampers for UK power generation sites, supporting the energy sectors’ challenge to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Founding Director, Simon Collins said: “We are very proud of the work we have produced over the last two years which has been fundamental to ensuring our clients provide safe working environments for their staff. The UK power generation sites that we serve supply the power needed to get the economy back on its feet.
We have also manufactured dampers for a number of UK hospitals to improve ventilation which is essential in helping stop the spread of Covid 19 in such vulnerable environments.”
